I was thinking about this the other day: if you are a new Rev Ops leader trying to set expectations for how long it will take to "Clean up the CRM," what's your rule of thumb? How long does it take to get to a steady state, where you as an Operator can get off your heels fighting fires and cleaning past messes, and onto your toes driving growth? Off the top of my head: - 3 months for every year you've run the CRM without a dedicated ops admin - 12 months - (1 month per dedicated FTE + .5 months per every 20 hours of agency time) - 6 months longer than your Gantt chart suggests

We are all living here at the same time, trying to reach goals, spend time with people we love, and ultimately live a life worth living. Help somebody do that today. Go out of your way to help somebody. One way somebody did that for me recently was my Brother-In-Law. He helped me install a new garage motor, and after that was done, we loaded up several hundred pounds of leftover stone from a project in his truck and he got rid of it on his own. CSM who doesn’t own revenue: “I don’t do contracts so I don’t really need to know how to negotiate.” WRONG. Negotiation is NOT only about 💰. Integrative negotiation is a critical skill CSMs must develop and it’s all about finding mutually beneficial resolutions when the relationship gets “stuck” in different moments of the customer journey. Yes, sometimes those moments are about money, but they can also be conflicts or technical challenges.
