Todd is the Co-Creator of Change the Course. The National Geographic Society (NGS), Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF), and Participant Media collaboratively developed this first of its kind program to catalyze a voluntary movement to return flows to critically de-watered ecosystems in North America. This program utilizes social media and storytelling to create a virtuous cycle of public involvement, conservation and on-the-ground restoration that ultimately engages millions of consumers and leverages funding to restore flows to depleted wetlands, rivers, and streams in North America.

In this era of growing water scarcity, many corporations are seeking ways to reduce their water-related risks and to demonstrate water stewardship. This program offers an opportunity and incentive to do both. This program was successfully piloted in the Colorado River basin with over 18 projects supported from headwater streams to the sea and over four billion gallons of water restored. With over 170,000 members of the public already involved, Change the Course is expanding to create impact on a national level in 2016-2017. We seek a select group of founding funders to help us expand and underwrite this groundbreaking initiative.

To date, the WRC program has raised funding to invest in flow restoration projects in 5 states, and we have restored billions of gallons of water to improve river and stream flows during critical times of the year. The WRC program continues to receive interest and press both nationally and internationally: http://www.guardian.co.uk/sustainable-business/water-offsets-new-tool-stewardship?newsfeed=true
