    The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) established Mental Health Technology Transfer Centers (MHTTCs) to facilitate the development of the nation’s mental health workforce. Rutgers - School of Health Professions, Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Counseling Professions, under the direction of co-directors Dr. Ken Gill and Dr. Ann Murphy, has been awarded the MHTTC for the Northeast and Caribbean region. Rutgers - School of Health Professions, Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Counseling Professions, under the direction of co-directors Dr. Ken Gill and Dr. Ann Murphy, has been awarded the MHTTC for the Northeast and Caribbean region. Over the next five years (2018 – 2023) the MHTTC will work with mental health organizations and practitioners in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands to strengthen their capacity to deliver effective, evidence-based practices.
