There is no doubt construction has slowed down in NJ. However, we are not unique. What is not stressed enough in this article is the creative re-use of commercial products, the updating of old facilities, and the continuing impact of both Covid and technology. While there was a rush for developing warehouses around our highway, blessed with the infrastructure and geography for shipping around the country and world, New Jersey is a mature market in so many ways. We can lead in innovative re-use. I would rather see re-uses and new construction, that create good-paying jobs rather than robotic warehouses and potentially an “armada” of driverless trucks on our roads, as well as lead in environmentally sound projects to ensure our children and grandchildren can thrive in our state and on this planet. https://lnkd.in/eHxsWQcQ
