🔋🇺🇸 Stellantis invests $406M in three Michigan plants 🇺🇲 for #EV and multi-energy storage strategy The global #automotive giant, has made a significant commitment to its #electricvehicle future with a substantial investment in three Michigan plants. The company's strategic move aims to accelerate the production of electric vehicles, including the highly anticipated Ram 1500 REV and electrified Jeep Wagoneer models. The investments, totaling over $406 million, are spread across the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant, the Warren Truck Assembly Plant, and the Dundee Engine Plant. Each facility will play a crucial role in Stellantis' electric vehicle strategy. 👉 Sterling Heights Assembly Plant: This plant will undergo a major transformation to produce both battery electric and range-extended versions of the Ram 1500 REV. The investment of $235.5 million will position Sterling Heights as Stellantis' first U.S. facility to build a fully electric vehicle. 👉 Warren Truck Assembly Plant: The Warren plant will receive $97.6 million to prepare for the production of electrified Jeep Wagoneer models. This investment aligns with Stellantis' broader global strategy to electrify its Jeep lineup. 👉 Dundee Engine Plant: With an investment of over $73 million, the Dundee plant will be retooled to produce battery trays and machining components for future electric vehicles.
