Occupancy (basically rent), is typically a fixed amount, whether you're open for dinner only, or 3+ day parts (breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night). However a venue can drive incremental revenue (a lesson learned from COVID), we should surely consider. The goal is not only to drive revenue, but hopefully profit as well. How do you communicate your annual survey results to your members? We tried something different this year, and shared the results with the community via video format. Normally, I've written a lengthy article regarding the survey results and offered in-person meetings for anyone who would like more detail. I never had any takers - which makes me wonder if anyone really read the memo. Now, I'm pleased to say that we haven't any any controversial survey results or major pain points that were greatly affecting the member experience...This year was no different - I'm so proud of this group. I'm curious.... When do you do your annual satisfaction survey? What is your typical response rate? Do you do the survey in-house or with an outside firm? Ninety two percent of executives advocate for one or more directors on their board to be replaced. Board refreshment is a sensitive topic, but I think it's important we consider the pros here. While we shouldn't replace people haphazardly, I do believe there is value in getting new perspectives in the room.
