“There are people you meet in your professional life that from the moment you make your first plan or the opening minutes of a brainstorm session you say to yourself, "This person gets it." Robin is one of those people. Smart, savvy, quick but always willing to listen and collaborate. I have watched him morph from an unflappable line producer to a newsroom leader that everyone respects, but just as importantly WANTS to work with. The demise or de-evolution of Scripps News, is a sad event for the world of news. It is more painful for the staffers like Robin now facing a day where their skills and talents are no longer desired by this organization. What many will miss -- especially me -- is the opportunity to work with Robin every day. He is a special producer who will make any other news organization smarter the minute he walks into a newsroom.”
