Why are we letting AI take over job application sorting? For Human Resources, why are we letting robots and programs sort through potential applicants who may or may not be a perfect fit? Human Resources should be run by just that:humans. I've had conversations with multiple people who were overqualified for the roles they applied for, only to received an automated email stating they "did not meet qualifications." One even ended up getting the job after being promoted from another job within the company, and when asked why they didn't apply for the job sooner, HR was shocked to learn that they had because they never even saw the person's resume to begin with. It has gotten so bad that I've seen applicants copy and paste the entire job listing in white text on their resume just to match up the job's "keywords." If we have to cheat and gimmick our way into even having our resumes SEEN, don't we think it's about time to change the system and stop letting potentially amazing candidates slip away just because their resume doesn't fit an AI's standards? Resumes are meant to show our qualifications and experience, and more importantly, who we are. I should not be getting turned away just because my vocabulary is different. Stop using AI to select candidates.

Heard the city of LA's Summit about fixing the film business didn't go well. Lots of word salad, not a lot of solutions. Here are some easy fixes that will help us in CA pivot towards the future without costing a dime, California Film Commission: Remove the barriers to entry. Right now filmmakers need 60% of thier budget banked before applying. This means any project debt financing first money in can't apply. Any project that hasn't cash-flowed over half of their budget can't even apply. This is virtually every Indie production that isn't backed by a hedgefund or large angel investor. Create a new tier for Low Budget work: under 2 million dollars. Let the Studio movies come in and gobble up the 3+ million funds with a handful of projects. Keep your studio bosses happy, while providing a platform for new voices, new business models, and true film differeniation. Open up Tax Credit qualificaition to ATL workers. This might chase away the George Clooney's of the world, but celebrity isn't what it once was. Now the star is the film itself, the brand, the IP. Have more hits shot in CA, and the needle will move.

One of my favorite projects of 2024 that no one will see and here’s why… We were creating content for a corporate event, where the main activity was an immersive theatrical performance based on a work by W. Shakespeare, but with a modern twist. In developing the creative concept for the content, we latched onto this idea and aimed to fully prepare the guests for the theatrical performance and immerse them in the event’s atmosphere. We compiled a list of Renaissance paintings and wanted to transform them using various styles. With numerous screens set up around the venue, we planned to create a “living art gallery.” Using AI Stable Diffusion, we created reproductions of the paintings in different styles, then animated them slightly with a parallax effect, added animated elements to the background, and finally used morphing to create very smooth transitions. The resulting content was incredibly well-received by the event agency, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the event had to be canceled, and we never completed one of my favorite projects of 2024… However, I believe we will still have the chance to bring it to life. #Animation #Advertising #MotionDesign #Syndicate #Creative #Outsourcing #AdvertisingAgencies #BusinessTips #Success #SyndicateAnimation

It's not about putting things off indefinitely; it's about strategically choosing which tasks to delay or delegate. By prioritizing your tasks and focusing on the most impactful ones, you can maximize your productivity and achieve greater success. So, what task can you abandon? Maybe it's that project that's been gathering dust on your desk for months or that meeting that could easily be an email. Identify low-priority tasks and free up your time and energy for high-impact activities. Unlock your full potential and make meaningful progress towards your goals. How can you harness the power of creative procrastination? ▶️Prioritize: Not all tasks are created equal. Identify the tasks that will move the needle the most and tackle those first. Everything else can wait. ▶️Delegate: You don't have to do it all yourself. Delegate tasks that can be done more efficiently by someone else, freeing up your time for tasks that require your unique skills and expertise. ▶️Pause: Sometimes, taking a step back and giving yourself permission to procrastinate can lead to breakthrough ideas and creative solutions.
