I continued to support the work of bringing in more women into the organization, who previously suffered very low visibility and voice in the business and technology of agriculture.

In my tenure, we raised the prominence of “Food as Medicine’ for Heart Disease by bringing DuPont, Cargill, and HerbalLife as major sponsors. Together, we changed the complexion of the AHA Scientific Advisory Board with greater food-science influence and more food studies (vs. Pharmaceutical studies). Under my influence, we led the early work focused on plant nutrition as a powerful way to reduce death caused by heart disease and stroke.

I led my company to raise the bar for corporate fundraising for seven years running. We broke records in St. Louis, making a big impact on the organization's ability to fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community.
