Transferred from Covenant College to UGA in 1990 to enter the Terry College of Business - Management Information Systems. In addition to traditional academic coursework, I was active in a Cooperative Education Program with IBM where I alternated real work work experience with my coursework. If you're wondering why it took me 6 years to get an undergraduate degree, it's because I spent a total of 2 years working at IBM.

Trustee at The Unfoundation (http://theunfoundation.org/) - a local non-profit that makes micro-grants to various Chattanooga based organizations. The UNfoundation provides an avenue for the everyday person to see small, easily achievable ideas come to life - to facilitate the connection of these great ideas with the capital needed to make them happen. They simplify the process of giving and receiving in our community. Applicants don't even need official non-profit status. The UNfoundation will consider any project that will make Chattanooga better. As long as we’re not funding a keg party or buying you a sweet new laptop for personal enjoyment, we’re open to all ideas. The goal of this organization is to give up to $2,000 to a project that deserves it, each month. Artists, artisans, justice seekers, neighborhood organizers, culinary cats, scientists, hot air ballooners, authors, athletes, anime’ers, and anyone else who wants to do something that needs a little extra cash, apply and you’ll get a fair shot at up to $2,000.

Each month, 20 trustees show up with $100 and meet to discuss / debate the latest batch of ideas. At the end of the meeting, a grant it awarded and we work with a local community foundation to immediately fund the project.
