Q3 is a college access and college persistence program opening in Las Vegas that innovatively uses a residential model to ensure first-generation college students from low-income communities have the equitable access to housing, persistence supports and career development/placement.

Selected to serve on ~30 member task-force with senior local education leaders led by 1st Vice President of the Dallas Board of Trustees to review progress and provide research-based recommendations to improve outcomes for African American students.

•Planed meetings and activities for 20-35 at risk 4th and 5th grade boys
•Served on the Board of the Miami Learning Zone as a representative for the Role Models Project
•Golden Boys Club: started a club to mentor eight troubled fourth graders and taught them poetry (2009)

•Assisted in preparing, implementing, and evaluating the School Improvement Plan (SIP) at Holmes elementary school and assisted in preparing and evaluating the school's annual budget.
