In Ghana: Market Place & Ministry Leaders Convene for Economic Nation -Building It’s always a delight to join my husband, ARCHBISHOP NICHOLAS DUNCAN WILLIAMS, in unleashing another one of his visionary ideas. The recent #KingdomBusinessForum (KBF) Breakfast Series at Action Chapel International, in Accra, brought together Ghana’s top church and ministry leaders with industrialists and entrepreneurs across the country to chart out collaborative solutions and strategies for economic nation-building. The insights shared were invaluable. I thank all the participants and presenters, particularly, our friend and keynote speaker Seun Salami, CFO of Nuveen, a TIAA company, who took time from his family’s vacation in #Ghana to underscore: “As leaders, we must understand that there are human beings at the other end of the decisions we make, whether big or small. In tough economic times, we must be true to our vision, to our faith, and our passion. We must acquire international knowledge and [build] teams that allow us to navigate these times to produce competitively on a global level.” Margins Group CEO, Moses Baiden further encouraged the audience in navigating tough economic times: “It doesn’t matter where we start, all that matters is where we are going.” Profound thanks to #KBF Chair, Mrs. Elsie Addo Awadzi, who always leads by example, and her committee of committed leaders. In such crucial times, where 429 million people in Africa still live on as little as $2.15 a day, the barriers separating the church, the marketplace, civil society, academia, and governments must be diminished when it comes to serving people–collaboration is key.
