Digital Literacy II - $1,035 This digital literacy course aims to empower students with the critical skills and knowledge needed to navigate the digital landscape responsibly and ethically. Through a comprehensive curriculum, students will explore self-awareness, develop a college portfolio, assess college fit, prepare for standardized tests, refine study skills, and maximize the impact of extracurricular activities. English Language Art II - $810 This English Language Arts course delves into the intersection of race, culture, and language through the exploration of literature and writing strategies. Students will engage with texts that highlight diverse perspectives and experiences while honing their reading comprehension and writing skills. English Language Art III - $810 This English Language Arts course focuses on research methodologies, reading comprehension, and persuasive communication. Kudos to my colleague, Matt Kinghorn, Senior Demographic Analyst at the IBRC, for his always-insightful analysis on the population projections he produces year-after-year: 📊 Indiana's population is projected to grow modestly by 2060, with metro areas, especially around Indianapolis, driving this change. 🚜 However, rural areas face declines due to deaths continuing to outpace births in these areas. 💡Strategic planning will be key as our state adapts to these shifts. Excited to share preliminary insights from our ongoing study at the recently concluded Wisconsin Science Education and Research Conference at the Medical College of Wisconsin Milwaukee campus! Our research highlights how social and geographic #disparities limit access to assisted living for older adults, particularly those belonging to racial/ethnic minority groups, rural areas, low-income households, and majority-minority neighborhoods. Essentially, these inequities lead to poorer health outcomes. With Wisconsin's aging population projected to grow steadily between now and 2040, addressing these challenges is crucial! 🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 Last month, I had the incredible opportunity to present my dissertation topic and serve on the organizing committee for the 2̲0̲t̲h̲ ̲M̲i̲d̲w̲e̲s̲t̲ ̲S̲o̲c̲i̲a̲l̲ ̲a̲n̲d̲ ̲A̲d̲m̲i̲n̲i̲s̲t̲r̲a̲t̲i̲v̲e̲ ̲P̲h̲a̲r̲m̲a̲c̲y̲ Conference at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy.
