It was a life changing experience. Until you're "in it", it's hard to realize how many people on any given day are in crisis mode, even with all the media available to us in the palm of our hand. And then to be apart of that process of attempting to help relieve someone's crisis is very special and intimate, so when you do make a difference, it hard to explain the feeling of knowing you made a positive impact on that person's life in probably their darkest hour. That's powerful!
