While it remains a strategic comms and content marketing tool for newsworthy announcements, narrative control and street cred, it’s also how you slice and dice it across your owned channels that extends its value and reach. ✔️ Journalists Still Want Releases - 74% of journalists say they want news announcements / press releases from PR professionals - 68% of journalists find press releases to be the most useful type of content provided to them by PR professionals ✔️ AI Did Not Write This Headline But - 49% of PR pros are using AI to generate attention grabbing headlines and 41% are using AI to write body copy ✔️ Show Don’t Just Tell - 72% of journalists said they used images and multimedia provided by a PR professional within the past year. "Visual content is processed in the brain faster and has been shown to remain in the memory longer than text, so including it with a press release will increase the chances the story will leave a lasting impression." ✔️ Orchestrate Distribution Across Owned Channels - To extend content value and reach PR pros slice and dice. 48% - Post bits on social media  37% - Write blog posts/articles  10% - Turn it into a video  5% - Other

Excerpts from client survey release: "While Taylor Swift’s fans are passionate, they’re not necessarily planning on following her lead at the polls. A whopping 95% of respondents to this Prodege, LLC survey said they wouldn’t change their vote based on a Swift endorsement. Swifties are ready to make their voices heard: 85% said they are “very likely” to vote. But while Harris maintains the support of a majority of Swifties polled (52%), support for former President Trump is stronger than some may think (34%) with 14% of those surveyed undecided or other. Swift’s fan base also expressed strong opinions on key issues: Reproductive Rights: Unsurprisingly, 65% of Swifties affirmed that women have the right to access abortion services, underscoring Swift’s support for reproductive rights. But The Economy and Inflation were ranked as the most important issue by a margin of more than 4-to-1 over female reproductive rights. Immigration: Another result that may surprise many pundits was the majority stance on immigration, with 53% saying those who enter the U.S. outside of official channels should be detained and screened and 41% calling for immediate deportation of those caught crossing illegally." One of the most fun parts of my job is getting to work with Patrick Fuller in analyzing our decades of data and how it maps to current market trends. We often do that exclusively for Law(dot)com Pro but we are sharing this sneak peek with the Law(dot)com audience as we dissect 25 years worth of Am Law 200 data. The big question we ask: has all of this growth across the industry paid off? What has it done to profitability? Without further ado, I present the September issue of CollectivNews (link in comments).
