Another great example of an #AI implementation being used to streamline operations - driving greater efficiency gains and cost reductions. And with #ewaste being as big a problem as it is, anything that drives economies of scale make an important sustainability impact. The use of AI/ML/robotics to evaluate, grade, test, and process devices - laptops or cellphones - is still in its infancy, but tremendous progress has been made in just the last few years. The modeling is becoming more accurate, the downtime less, throughput up, and the financial gains are made at lower thresholds. All of this has financial and business implications, but the underlying gain is reducing the ewaste gap that exists across the world. And being able to take this technology and implement it in worldwide cost-effectively will only increase its adoption. Bonus points if the data gleaned is fed back into the #productdesign process to increase longevity and reduce repair costs - it's a win all around.
