Published earlier this year, the North America Data Center Report from JLL took a look at the increasing demand for #datacenters, what's driving that demand, and what's to come in the industry as a result. 📈 Research showed that data centers are seeing increasing investor allocations, with the sector having a 9% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in transactions since 2013, the highest of any sector other than life sciences. As EdgeCore Digital Infrastructure 's Executive Vice President of Finance Julie B. stated in a recent interview with Commercial Property Executive, the data center industry is capital-intensive and liquidity is crucial. With investments continuing to grow, as do the hopes that one of the most critcal issue, energy consumption, can be solved. Increased funding allows data center developers to advance the technologies that strive to achieve higher energy efficiences, working to alleviate some of the strain on the grid.
