I was awarded an AACR Scholar-in-Training Award at the Annual AACR meeting in San Diego (2008). This award was to recognize our work around the invention of transkingdom RNA interference (tkRNAi) and its application toward prevention of colon cancer and colon polyps in patients with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) by targeting and suppressing expression of the oncogene b-catenin.

Best Poster award at the post-genomic conference "Beyond Genome" organized by Cambridge Healthtech Institute (CHI) for our work describing a novel delivery tool for RNA interference.

I received a postdoctoral scholarship to allow me to advance my scientific training through a postdoc research position at Harvard.

I was awarded the prestigious SABCS Junior Investigator Award for our work on Genomic Profiling of Breast Cancer. The project specifically studied differential gene expression of Breast Cancer before and after Chemotherapy and changes in gene expression during the development of Chemotherapy Resistance in a cohort of prospectively treated patients with Stage II-III Breast Cancer.
