How can you use your knowledge of the franchisee's market to negotiate a better franchise agreement?
If you can negotiate a better contract with a franchisor, RUN! That's a sure sign that the franchisor doesn't have their ducks in a row. Franchising is about a consistent customer experience and that should start with a consistent franchisee experience. When everyone has a different agreement with the franchisor, trouble is brewing down the road.

How can you effectively coach a franchisee through a period of poor customer service quality?
1. How's your relationship with the franchise owner? Be sure the owner knows that you're concerned and want to help. 2. Ask the franchise owner if they're aware of the situation and what is their perspective on the poor customer service. Ask why the customer may have reported poor customer service. 3. Ask how poor customer service affects their ability to reach their goals. 4. Now create a strategy. Get commitment. 5. Finally, what are the action steps moving forward? What will they do? How will you help? Be sure to have measurable goals and a timeline.
