It is important to first take time to thoroughly consider the type of person you want to hire which starts with your goals for the hire. 2. Don't underestimate the budget for hiring for these critical roles that drive your company’s technology strategy and can have a huge impact on your business. In addition to base salary, it is important that you think through yearly bonuses, long term incentives, benefits, and potential relocation expenses/sign on bonuses/recruitment costs + your tech budget(OPEX, CAPEX). Discerning tech candidates will want to know the timeline and budget for achieving your goals. 3. Be ready to interview and outline a clear recruiting process that includes who is on the interview committee, evaluation criteria, timing for each step and who will lead the process.
