#India 🇮🇳 Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India 🇮🇳 MHI issued notification 📄 on September 29, 2024 vide S.O. 4259(E).— PM Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (PM E-DRIVE) Scheme. The PM E-Drive Scheme, introduced after reviewing the FAME-II and EMPS-2024 schemes, includes several new features compared to earlier initiatives. Here are the key highlights in comparison to the old EMPS: ✅ New Features in PM E-Drive Scheme: 1️⃣ Scheme Duration and Budget: The PM E-Drive Scheme has an outlay of ₹10,900 crore, spanning from 1st October 2024 to 31st March 2026. This is significantly larger than the ₹778 crore allocated for the previous EMPS-2024 which was valid from 1st April 2024 to 30th September 2024. 2️⃣ Expanded Focus: Unlike EMPS-2024, which focused primarily on electric two-wheelers (e-2Ws) and three-wheelers (e-3Ws), PM E-Drive Scheme broadens its scope to include other categories like e-buses, e-ambulances, e-trucks, and emerging EV categories, thus covering more types of vehicles. 3️⃣ Charging Infrastructure: There is a major focus on the creation of charging stations and infrastructure under PM E-Drive. A budget of ₹2,000 crore is allocated for this purpose, addressing the need for public charging stations along city borders and inter-city highways. 4️⃣ Incentives for New Segments: The scheme includes incentives for advanced electric vehicles and public transport vehicles, including electric buses, to boost their adoption in urban centers. Earlier schemes were more focused on personal transport vehicles. ✴️ Incentive Amount and Validity: 1️⃣ Incentive Amount: For electric two-wheelers (e-2Ws) and three-wheelers (e-3Ws), the incentive amount is based on the battery capacity (₹ per kWh). For example, two-wheelers are eligible for up to ₹5,000 per kWh in 2024-25, reducing to ₹2,500 per kWh in 2025-26. Electric buses receive a subsidy of ₹10,000 per kWh, with a cap of ₹3.5 million per vehicle. 2️⃣ Duration: The PM E-Drive Scheme is valid from October 1, 2024, to March 31, 2026. The EMPS-2024, which it replaced, was only valid from April to September 2024. These changes reflect the government's larger ambition to support the adoption of EVs and build a robust infrastructure to facilitate the transition towards sustainable transportation. Imagine convincing your people to topple their own economy. Create their poor. Bankrupt their industry.  Freeze their elderly,. Make homeless their young. BUT THE BLOC QUEBECOIS support the libndp crap tards? Less industry.  increase carbon tax end investment, make farming expensive, make war on food, hate the nation and actively destroy our history and institutions. But spend tax dollars on dei and esg industries so those compromised thus stay silent. Just imagine war without bullets would like this.
