    D&M Electrical Contracting, Inc. was awarded contracts for both the site electrical and off-shore electrical construction of a new crane platform and accessory platforms located off-shore in the Hudson River adjacent to the plant. The crane was for off-loading of barges which would bring in a raw material which was being utilized for the manufacturing of synthetic sheetrock. D&M provided design/ build and value engineering services which resulted in significant cost savings by changing the…

    D&M Electrical Contracting, Inc. was awarded contracts for both the site electrical and off-shore electrical construction of a new crane platform and accessory platforms located off-shore in the Hudson River adjacent to the plant. The crane was for off-loading of barges which would bring in a raw material which was being utilized for the manufacturing of synthetic sheetrock. D&M provided design/ build and value engineering services which resulted in significant cost savings by changing the primary design of pipe and conduit to a submarine cable system which was installed in the mud bed of the Hudson River. Project value: $500,000.00- $1,000,000.00

  • Campus Wide Electrical Distribution System Upgrades- Children's Village, Dobbs Ferry, NY

  • Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant- Emergency Alert Siren System Installation

    Installation of a new federally mandated Emergency Alert System consisting of 174 sirens located in 4 counties in the Lower Hudson Valley. D&M provided a full range of services to Entergy Nuclear Northeast which included siting assistance, permitting, design assistance, installations, as-built drawings and removal of the existing system after final acceptance. D&M provides on-going service, preventative maintenance and inspection of the system to this date.

    D&M was awarded the below ground, above ground and switchgear building electrical contracts for this project. Nearly 10 miles of Fiberglass Reinforced Epoxy (FRE) conduit was installed in the switchyard along with 2 miles of 1000MCM bare copper wire for the grounding grid was installed by a composite crew consisting of both our Inside Wiremen from IBEW Local #3 and Lineman from IBEW Local #1249. Inside the switchgear building electricians installed over 14,000 feet of rigid conduit. Project…

  • Storm Restoration- Hurricanes Ike & Gustav

    Emergency Storm Assistance to Entergy after the utility was hit with back to back hurricanes (Ike and Gustav) in the New Orleans, LA and Galveston, TX service areas. D&M crews worked 16-17 hour shifts for 33 days straight in order to restore the nearly 3 million customers which were affected by these storm. Project Value: >$1,000,000.00
