Operations began in 1967, when assets of $75 million and liabilities of $490 million were transferred from 454 local public safety pension funds across Ohio. As of Dec. 31, 2014, OP&F’s investment portfolio was valued at $14.43 billion.

As one of five public retirement systems in Ohio, OP&F has established a financially sound pension fund that operates on an actuarial reserve basis. The system’s disability benefit program and the investment portfolio management have routinely been recognized for excellence. Show less
