National Capital Area Planning Conference Call for Session Proposals The NCAC Conference Committee is now accepting session proposals for the 2024 National Capital Area Chapter Planning Conference. This year’s conference is focused on projects that showcase innovative methods and results to revitalize or sustain communities in our region. We invite you to contribute to the success of this year’s conference and help us build a quality and enticing agenda. Proposal Requirements Proposals will be considered regardless of topic or format and should be for 30-minute or 1-hour general education sessions (on planning projects, research, case studies, methodologies, skill-building, etc.). The following information should be included with each submission: - Session Title - Abstract (150 words or less) – please include a description of the intended audience and main takeaways - Name and short biography of each presenter. If there will be more than two presenters please explain what each presenter will be doing. (Note: Only one presenter is required to be AICP-certified) - Audio/Visual needs (Laptop, Projector, Mic, etc.) Submissions will be accepted in Word format or Adobe PDF and should be emailed to [email protected] with subject line “2024 APA NCAC Conference Abstract – 30 Min./1-Hour”. Please indicate whether it is 30-Min. or 1-Hour in the subject line. There is no limit on the number of abstracts that may be submitted by one individual however only one session per individual or team will be accommodated in the conference schedule. Deadline: Friday, September 6, 2024 Accepted submissions will be notified by Friday, September 13. Please contact [email protected] for more information or questions.
