That Makes Cents "Look good, feel good, play good...and they will pay good" Stylists have taken the athlete world by storm by becoming key stakeholders for athletes as they carve out a new lane to showcase their style, fashion, persona, and lifestyle. Athletes have tapped into various stylists to help increase their profiles. They say with how you dress you can make noise without saying a word. Stylists have added an extra element to the athlete ecosystem and allowed different athletes to become major players in the fashion industry all while adding an extra revenue / avenue to their enterprises. Athletes are models and they've turned the walkway entrance into your own runway. How are you maximizing these moments. There should be no reason for you as an athlete to not reach out to your favorite brands and apparel companies and ask to showcase their brand during your walk out tunnel. You can create a whole suite of content for them. Or you can even make a claim to be a walking billboard for the "right" brand. I honestly think as an athlete you can take it all the way and wear your own merch/apparel/fashion line and promote your own stuff but that takes work. Either way if you're an athlete or athlete manager or stylist working with athletes think more than just rocking an outfit. The global resale market in retail is huge. Like, $230 billion huge. That’s what it’s projected to hit this year, according to ThredUp. Reselling isn't new. Thrift stores and yard sales have been around forever. However, the current wave is something unique. It’s fueled by a potent mix of sustainability, economic practicality and efficient marketing technology, especially among Gen Z and Millennials. The resale market offers immense opportunities for retailers. It's not just about profits; it's about aligning with corporate environmental stewardship. Here are some key aspects of this trend: 1. Handling Returns: Transforming returns into resale opportunities can help retailers reduce waste and recover value on their inventory. 2. Reusing Packaging: Encouraging customers to reuse return packaging cuts down on waste. 3. Selling Used Products: Offering high-quality used items can attract new customer segments that might not otherwise be able to afford them. 4.
