We at Machine Ventures are thrilled to share Part 3 of our deep dive into our white paper “Vision 2035: The Emergent Singularity”. Following our perspectives on how the Singularity will be reached, we dive into which domains and industries are poised to benefit the most from the four key pillars of machine intelligence technologies - and offer opportunities for startups and investors. 1. Workforce: Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is an example of where intelligent automation tools are revolutionizing industries, automating tasks, streamlining workflows, and enhancing human-machine interaction. This boosts productivity, allows focus on complex tasks, and aids in talent management and strategic decision-making. Additionally, these innovations contribute to improved medical diagnosis. 2. Industry (Manufacturing/Logistics): Advanced analytics and automation optimize industrial processes, enabling predictive maintenance, enhanced quality control, and efficient production. Examples are technologies powered by machine perception that can support visual information interpretation, aiding in areas such as defect detection and machinery monitoring, while intelligent decision-making tools leveraging machine learning can streamline operations and improve performance. 3. Next-Gen (Digital) Infrastructure: Enhancements in infrastructure capabilities through architectures like federated learning (FL) will bolster real-time security, optimize network traffic, and improve system utilization and performance. By enabling more capable edge inference and training,  FL will contribute to improvements in resource allocation, capacity planning, and dynamic optimization of services in areas such as energy management, transportation, and waste management.
