A few reflections from #SHRM in Chicago: 1️⃣ HR leaders are seeking ways to simplify their tech stack Between payroll, expense management, open enrollment, a variety of healthcare app, employee engagement platforms and more, HR leaders spend hours in their days context switching between different platforms. What is there was a solution that integrated all these pieces into one, simplified workflows, and allowed HR leaders to spend more time on strategy and with employees? 2️⃣ CFOs and CEOs are putting pressure on benefits teams to save costs Several individuals walked up to us with a version of "my c-suite tasked me with saving costs on healthcare." This is consistent with a recent experience where a Board Member of a self-insured company reached out to us saying that healthcare expenditures have become a "board level issue." This is not surprising, given that benefits are often the 2nd largest expense for companies. 3️⃣ AI doesn't matter unless it solves real problems Nobody (zero) has approached us asking about our AI. They don't care how we do what we do, and they shouldn't. It is on us to figure out how we can make our customer money, save them money or give them their time back. We loved speaking to several HR leaders highly motivated to really get into medical claims to start understanding where they can save cost while improving care. 4️⃣ Y Combinator companies like Rippling, Deel or Lattice dominated the space and we feel inspired to match their impact and scale 🔥 Overall, the experience was a huge success. Time will show how many new customers work with us, but already now we feel more connected than ever to our partners and friends.
