Our team had a wonderful time at the Propeller Club Executive Speaker Series this past Wednesday, where Yusen Terminals proudly served as a Gold Sponsor. It was a pleasure connecting with industry leaders, discussing key developments, and hearing Gene Seroka, Executive Director of the Port of Los Angeles, provide an insightful update.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting the second group of Girl Scouts from Troop #1213! It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and curiosity as they explored our operations. The girls enjoyed learning about our rail and vessel operations and had a fantastic tour of the Pacific Harbor Line engine, all thanks to Mike Croy’s coordination and the support of the PHL team! A big thank you to Troop Leader Heather Tomilowitz for her initiative in organizing a visit for the scouts and for making this tour a success, and to Troop #1213 for joining us once again. Check out some highlights from the tour!

On Tuesday, YTI and the Port of Los Angeles held a ceremony with the Captain of the Seaspan Bravo. This event concluded our welcome for the AP1 service, marking the completion of our visits to all ships in the service. We were pleased to present the Captain and crew with fresh Sugar Bee apples, while the port presented a plaque to mark the occasion.

Yesterday, our EXP interns delivered their final internship presentations, showcasing the experiences they gained during their time at YTI. They did an outstanding job, impressing everyone with their insights and professionalism during the Q&A session. The audience included the EXP executive team and the YTI Senior Management team.   It is a great honor for us to host these high school students and introduce them to various aspects of the terminal and supply chain business. Welcoming interns aligns with YTI's core values of Collaboration, Caring, and Commitment. We are dedicated to supporting and sharing our expertise with the EXP student community and eagerly anticipate next year's interns!

Yesterday was a memorable day at Yusen Terminals as we welcomed the Wan Hai A16 on its maiden voyage in the new AP1 joint service with Wan Hai and ONE. This 13K TEU ship, freshly released from Samsung Heavy Industries in Busan, is the 5th vessel we’ve hosted from the AP1 service. Special thanks to Eric Caris, Director of Cargo Marketing for the Port of Los Angeles, for presenting a welcome plaque to the Captain. In return, the Captain generously gifted both Eric and us with models of the A16. Ours is now proudly displayed on our VIP gift shelf on the 4th floor. We also had the pleasure of presenting fresh California fruits and premium wine, which were greatly appreciated by the crew. A heartfelt recognition goes out to Mike Chang and Eric Chung, the dedicated representatives of Wan Hai in the US. They have been instrumental in facilitating smooth visits, arranging our meetings with ship officers on board, and attending all ceremonies. We deeply appreciate the collaborative efforts of Wan Hai and ONE and take great pride in supporting this partnership.

YTI is delighted to introduce the release of our new appointment system, YTI Gate Link. We appreciate the involvement of the HTA and the broader trucking community for their feedback, which has aided us in crafting a system tool that is user-friendly and efficient for our primary facility users – the trucking community! Please visit www.yti.com for information and the link to access YTI Gate Link! Today marked the kickoff of Phase 1, and we are eager to improve the system's features and roll out the next phase in the months ahead.
