For the month of September, YRMC will go GOLD in honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. On Wednesday, September 4th, the Foundation of YRMC is partnering with AdvoKATE to gather for a heartwarming lighting ceremony to raise awareness and show support for pediatric cancer patients, survivors and their families. The community is invited to join us at 6:30 pm at the YRMC Cancer Center Serenity Garden (2375 Ridgeview Dr, across from the main hospital entrance). YRMC Spiritual Care will begin the ceremony with a prayer and information/resources will be available from the Foundation of YRMC’s Pediatric Oncology Committee, AdvoKATE and the Cancer Resource Center. After illuminating individual necklaces and candles, attendees will walk around the exterior of the hospital to the Emergency Department, which will also be illuminated in gold. This event marks the start of a month-long campaign to light the hospital gold each night as a tribute to Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. The display visually represents YRMC’s dedication to supporting families in our community. If you are unable to attend, we invite you to donate to the Foundation of YRMC’s Pediatric Oncology Support Fund. For more information, contact the Foundation of YRMC at [email protected] or call 928-336-7045.

  • Earlier this year, Yuma Regional Medical Center became the first organization in Arizona to receive the Pathway to Excellence designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. This prestigious honor recognizes our commitment to creating a supportive and high-standard environment for our nursing staff. In celebrating this achievement, we want to spotlight the incredible dedication of our nurses, who make this recognition possible.
