Underwriting Consultant, Construction - CNA Insurance

The time of year has finally come for the Marsh McLennan fundraising event in support of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. This is a long-standing and wonderful relationship that has helped provide various styles of support to families across the country when they need it the most. My own company, CNA Insurance, has been a proud supporter of this effort for many years, with many more to come. In addition to the several fundraising events that will occur over the next couple months, individual campaigns have also been encouraged in order to take this support to a whole new level. With that, please see the link to my personal fundraising campaign below. If you are able, please consider donating, even if it is just a few dollars, as the smallest amount can go a long way. The stories of these families are heartbreaking and simply unfair, and the continued support of our local community has never been needed more than now. I have also included a link to the PBTF website for additional information. https://lnkd.in/eYQxDmme https://curethekids.org/ Thank you!

I'm ready to go big for children with brain tumors and their families!

  • Introducing our 2024 Director of Social Media: Tandeka Nomvete, ARM-E, AIS, CAWC! 💠 Company & Title: Director of External Engagement at the Spencer Educational Foundation 💠 Why did you join YRP Georgia? About three years ago, I moved back to Atlanta, and soon after, I began searching for ways to reconnect with the local RMI community. While searching for ways to do so, I found that a thriving YRP chapter in the city. Meeting like-minded young professionals in the industry interested me, and I decided to join the organization. Since then, I have been volunteering with the group and have had a great time being a part of it. 💠 Where did you go to college? I obtained a bachelor's degree in Risk Management & Insurance with a minor in Actuarial Science from Georgia State University. Go Panthers! 🐾 💠 What's the most exciting/rewarding part of your job? I work for a non-profit organization that supports young leaders in the Risk Management & Insurance industry. The most rewarding part of my job is being able to help students achieve their goals and guide them through the transition from college to young professionals. It's gratifying to know that my day-to-day work helps students enter our industry and assists universities in attracting even more students into our field. 💠 What is your favorite thing to do in Atlanta? One of my favorite things to do in my free time is explore new restaurants and attractions within the city. I'm particularly fond of brunch, which I consider to be the most important meal of the day! 😂 So, I'm always on the lookout for new brunch spots to try out and add to my list of favorites. 💠 What advice would you give someone entering the insurance industry? If you're new to the industry, my advice would be to get involved with the local RMI community as soon as possible. Look for professional associations and organizations to join, and if you can, volunteer for leadership roles. These groups provide excellent opportunities for networking within the industry, and the sooner you start participating in both in-person and virtual networking, the better. So, make sure to stay active and engage with other professionals in our field, as this will unlock doors for you! 💙💚 #2024BoardMember #Spotlight #YRP #YRPgeorgia #YoungRiskProfessionals Join the YRP Georgia Chapter today: https://lnkd.in/gnfKjxuK

Last week I concluded my summer internship with AXA XL. I can’t help but feel a mix of pride and gratitude. This journey has been challenging, but also one of the most rewarding experiences of my career so far. Throughout this internship, I had the privilege of working alongside some truly amazing people who constantly pushed me to grow. Whether it was tackling our complex cyber data analytics project , learning new skills, navigating real-world challenges, or networking with fellow employees and a diverse array of industry professionals. I gained invaluable insights that I’ll carry with me as I move forward in my career. A big thank you to my mentors and colleagues at AXA for their support and guidance. Especially Fran Gari and Shakeem Albouy who were pivotal in helping to coordinate and support our large cyber claim data analytics project. Special shoutout to my fellow interns, I am proud of our efforts and professional growth! I’m excited to take everything I’ve learned and apply it to future endeavors. Here’s to new beginnings and continued growth!
