🚀 Founder's Friday Spotlight: An Interview with Sue McKinney & Kentaro Timothy V.! 🌟
This week, we're excited to feature two founders making an impact in healthcare and sustainability.

🌟 Sue McKinney - Founder of Altin Biosciences
Q: What does Altin Biosciences do, and what progress have you made?
"Altin Biosciences is developing a non-hormonal plant-based Uterine Fibroid drug under the FDA Botanical Drug Guidance. We've made significant progress, with two standardized botanical extracts that are patent-pending and research published in *Fertility & Sterility Science*. We're currently raising Series A funding."

Q: Why did you create this product?
"There are no long-term, fertility-friendly, uterus-preserving treatments for uterine fibroids. Our drug has the potential to be the first of its kind, offering women a non-surgical, non-hormonal option to alleviate symptoms while preserving the uterus."
Q: What inspired you to create this product?
"Having lived in Vietnam for 30 years, I became aware of the 4,000 medicinal herbs used in traditional medicine, including a proprietary cultivar that has clinical data to treat uterine fibroids. With the high prevalence of fibroids and the $44.2B/year societal costs in the U.S., I knew this botanical solution could change lives."

🌟 Kentaro Timothy V. - Founder of CarbonSustain
Q: What does CarbonSustain do, and what progress have you made?
"CarbonSustain enables streamlined emissions data collection, reduction, and offsets using advanced technology. We’ve developed an MVP, secured 3 pilot customers with $100K ARR, and raised $50K through competitions. We're also forming partnerships, including with the Haas School of Business."
Q: Why did you create CarbonSustain?
"We wanted to help businesses fight greenwashing and improve their carbon accounting. Our platform makes it easy for small and medium-sized businesses to track emissions and implement reduction strategies."
Q: What inspired you to start this venture?
"As a team with experience in blockchain and environmental tech, we saw how industries struggled to measure their environmental impact accurately. CarbonSustain was born out of the need for a user-friendly tool that enables businesses to take meaningful action toward sustainability."
