Quand l'équipe R&D de YellowScan expérimente la technologie autour d'une piscine du territoire ! 🏊♂️ Dans le cadre de travaux de recherche et de développement, relatif à la caractérisation et l'amélioration des performances de ses capteurs, YellowScan a pu bénéficier d'un accès privilégié à la Piscine du Pic Saint-Loup grâce à VERT MARINE et à la communauté de commune du Grand Pic Saint-Loup. 🤝 Pour cette mission, différents systèmes LiDAR pour drone ont été utilisés afin de créer des données cartographiques de haute précision. Les systèmes LiDAR YellowScan topographiques Explorer et Voyager ont été complétés par le LiDAR topo-bathymetrique Navigator pour cartographier la structure et ses alentours. Les données acquises ont fait l'objet d'une exploitation minutieuse et peuvent être combinées pour obtenir une cartographie complète intégrant la partie terrestre ainsi que la partie subaquatique. Avec une infrastructure complexe, les 3 systèmes LiDAR utilisés ont pu révéler les détails les plus subtils de la toiture au fond de la piscine extérieure. La précision des données offre différentes perspectives relatives aux mesures de pentes pour l'écoulement de l'eau ou à l'installation de panneaux solaires. 📐 Nous remercions chaleureusement Vert Marine pour avoir rendu cette mission possible. Harbor Surveying with a bathymetric LiDAR System ⛴️ Our partner, Scandinavian Drone was challenged to showcase the YellowScan Navigator's performance in the murky, dark water typical of Scandinavia. The objectives were to: ✔️ Showcase the complete workflow of the YellowScan Navigator LiDAR system. ✔️ Assess the system’s realistic capabilities in specific conditions. ✔️Compare the benefits and drawbacks of using the Navigator versus echosounders and multibeam systems. ✔️Evaluate the efficiency and quality of data collection and post-processing. Using LiDAR for Emergency Response in Alaska 🏔️ Our partner, Frontier Precision Unmanned, faced a critical challenge when their long-term client, the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT), needed to rapidly and accurately map the area affected by the Mendenhall Glacier flood in Juneau, Alaska. This flood, triggered by unseasonably warm temperatures and heavy rain, caused significant runoff from the glacier, threatening the town and resulting in property damage. The DOT required detailed aerial surveys to assess the flood’s impact and plan their response. However, the congested airspace, combined with the need for swift data collection, made this a complex task, especially given the area’s popularity as a tourist destination, which added further airspace constraints.
