He also had a previous stop at The Athletic. 🥊 Chuck Mindenhall will cover MMA, boxing, and wrestling for Uncrowned. He’s a three-time nominee for MMA Journalist of the Year and has previously written for The Athletic, MMA Fighting, The Ringer, and ESPN. 👊 Ben Fowlkes will also cover MMA, boxing, and wrestling. He has most recently been a contributing combat sports writer for Yahoo Sports, with previous stops at the USA Today, The Athletic, and Sports Illustrated among others. He has also co-hosted the Co-Main Event MMA podcast since 2012. 🥊 Keith Idec joins Uncrowned to cover boxing. He’s previously covered boxing for The Record/Herald News in New Jersey from 1996-2016 and BoxingScene.com from 2006-2024. 🤼 Cameron Hawkins will cover wrestling for Uncrowned. Ahead of its official launch in October, Uncrowned is hosting a special show this Friday live from The Yahoo Sportsbook at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. 🗓 Friday, Sept. 13, 7pm ET/4pm PT. 🥊 Ariel Helwani, Eric Jackman, Conner Burks, Mysterious Frank, and Petesy Carroll will preview a major weekend of combat sports in Vegas, headlined by UFC 306 and the Canelo Álvarez-Edgar Berlanga bout. The show will also feature surprise guests from the combat sports world. 🎟 Fans (21+) are welcome to attend the show on a first-come, first-served basis; no tickets are necessary. 📺 The show will stream on yahoosports.com and youtube.com/@arielhelwani. 

Our redesigned Yahoo Sports website is now live! We’ve updated the site to help fans go deeper on the biggest stories in sports, with a flexible design that packages more related coverage together and adjusts based on the day’s news. For example: ➡ For tentpole moments like the NBA Finals or Super Bowl, the site will be led by a bold edge-to-edge homepage takeover, with related stories grouped together to recap the event from every angle.  ➡ For major topics that last multiple days and have several related storylines – i.e. NBA free agency – the site will lead with a prominent module designed for ongoing coverage updates. ➡ For coverage around a single game, we’re adding a score bar header that updates in real time. News about that game – and the teams playing in it – are programmed beneath it. Ultimately, the updated site will better guide fans to comprehensive coverage – no matter what’s happening in the world of sports.
