Our #FlashbackFriday is also a #FutureFriday, as we celebrate our colleague Nancy Pance of Opportunity Oregon, a non profit organization helping those recently released from incarceration to find jobs. We appreciate all her efforts during the past months, and we look forward to more events in the future. And we join her and our community in nurturing and sustaining "HOPE'" for a meaningful career for all! #PartnersMakeMorePossible
Co-Founder and Executive Director at Opportunity Oregon - "Our mission is to find employment for justice-involved individuals through prison outreach, employer education, and business development services.”
Opportunity Oregon was honored to sponsor the first Fair Chance Career & Resource Fair inside Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution on August 2nd, 2024. This was a collaborative effort made by the staff inside EOCI - Oregon Department of Corrections, Eastern Oregon Workforce Board, WorkSource Oregon and Oregon Corrections Enterprises. We had more than 300 incarcerated individuals attend and 18 organizations come in as guests with opportunities!! More than half of the surveys we received from incarcerated attendees included the word “HOPE” in their feedback. Our outside guests would like to return next year, and we’d love to have them! Cheers to a successful event!! #makebetterneighbors #tomorrowsworkforce #beatrecidivism

Regional Business Service Representative/Program Analyst - High Technology & Miscellaneous Industries
Oregon Tech Employer: "What if we have this unicorn of a tech job 🦄 we need filled that’s been really time consuming for our recruiting team and we really don’t want to pay a technical staffing agency to help us find this person?” Me: “Guess what, the Regional Business Services team can help you find those advanced niche-y tech folks! 🔍” Oregon Tech Employer: “You mean people claiming unemployment?” Me: “No. While iMatch Skills is a great recruiting tool where we can headhunt and have direct contact information on just about anyone who’s ever claimed unemployment, we also have access to Indeed and LinkedIn Recruiter. We can source highly trained/highly skilled candidates just like any other technical staffing agency." Oregon Tech Employer: "How much is all this? 💲" Me: “We are funded by Oregon employer payroll taxes, so any tax paying employer in the state of Oregon is already paying for these services.” 💰 Oregon Tech Employer: “How do we sign up?? 🤝” Me: “If your company already has an iMatch Skills account (easy to sign up for if not), 95% of the work is done! Now we would meet about the positions you would want recruiting assistance on, just like you would with any other staffing agency. 😊" Please feel free to message or comment for questions! #WorksourceOregon #TechnicalStaffing #TechRecruiting #iMatchSkills
