About us
REPRESENTING EMPLOYERS IS ALL WE DO Focusing their practices exclusively in the area of labor and employment law for management, Worklaw® Network is a network of independent law firms that have formed an association for the professional exchange of information. Worklaw Network's rigorous membership recruiting standards offer employers a virtual "seal of approval." Employee-related concerns are among the most troublesome legal issues facing organizations today. Whether operating locally, regionally, nationally or internationally, when employment matters arise, employers need lawyers who are well established in the territory and who bring years of experience to the matter at hand. If you are seeking legal counsel to defend employment litigation matters, from discrimination claims to complex noncompete disputes, for advice on employment issues or for traditional labor problems, Worklaw Network is the answer. Worklaw® Network reposted this
Alifanz & Westlind has the honor and privilege of being the Worklaw® Network representative for the state of Oregon. Worklaw is best described as a collective of small, independent, employment law firms across the country (and internationally!) that represent and advise employers in all aspects of employment law. When our old firm, Bullard Law, ceased to exist last year, Dennis Westlind and I jumped at the chance to continue Bullard’s relationship with Worklaw, now as a small, two-person firm. Personally, I have found our relationship with Worklaw to be rewarding on many levels. It’s new friends, new (super smart) thought partners, and brings an energy that makes our tiny firm feel like part of something larger. Two weeks ago, we were in Boston for Worklaw’s Fall Conference. Imagine our shock to learn during a business session that Alifanz & Westlind - members for only a year – had received Worklaw’s 2024 C3 Award, given to a firm that exhibits Worklaw’s three C’s: Collegiality, Collaboration, and Commerce! Dennis and I are decidedly not out for accolades. We spend our focus on our clients, friends, and being there for each other. But even so, and with many thanks to the Worklaw Executive Committee, this feels like the best endorsement our small and brand new firm could hope for of the work we do for our clients, the relationships we’ve built (and continue to build), and the friendship we have for one another.
