We’re going back to school with events on AI. Join us TOMORROW, Sept. 19th at 4pm ET/1pm PT for Level Up: AI Edition with Roshmond "Sum" P. (WNW Member #203520), who will discuss finding your AI POV — without feeling overwhelmed or pressured. We’ll also talk about understanding the value of including AI in your portfolio, what employers might be looking for, and (maybe most importantly) how to talk about AI from a place of personal power and understanding when the time comes (even if you decide to deprioritize AI in your work.) Level up here: https://lnkd.in/gj6sA_vi

Agencies, maybe it’s time we stop letting toxic clients call the shots? Bad clients create bad work environments, and nobody’s winning. We loved hearing Justin Gignac (sans eye bags) talk about the real struggles workers face—and why we need better tools to make work less… soul-sucking. We can do better, and tbh, it starts with building healthier, more supportive work environments. (P.S. You may have heard about a little something called NTRNL 😉)

Such a pleasure joining Ollie Scott on the UNKNOWN podcast. We covered so much in this one hour. Selling garbage. Getting into advertising. Elf Yourself. Quitting advertising. Freelancing. Working. Not Working. Very unhappy people who are working. AI and Spanx. Embracing your weirdness as your differentiator. Why you need to keep Madonna-ing your career. A suggestion for holding companies to hold a talent draft and create new agencies around them instead of just consolidating agency brands. Our new platform NTRNL. Unearthing people's passions. And how we're evolving Working Not Working to become a place where friends get friends work. PRO TIP: Get more than 4 hours of sleep the night before you're on camera. Please leave your eye cream recommendations in the comments. Thanks! "I hate the phrase ‘work-life balance’ because it implies there’s a difference between work and life." – Adrienne Wright Cleveland, during our conversation on the HR Brew Adrienne’s got a point. Why are we still pretending these are separate worlds? If you genuinely have a sense of belonging where you work—if you can bring your whole self—then work becomes a part of your life that you actually love. I realize some jobs are just jobs. But if we can create more companies where employees feel valued, and their work aligns with their purpose, we'll all benefit. Let's make it happen. We’re beyond excited to see our Employee (Un)Happiness Survey featured by our partner, Fiverr. It’s been an eye-opener for all of us, and we’re grateful to help push the conversation forward on what really matters in the workplace. It’s a reminder of why we do what we do—getting real about the challenges in today’s workplace and helping HR leaders tackle them head-on. Big thanks to our partners for amplifying this important conversation. Let’s keep the momentum going—because happy employees aren’t a perk, they’re a necessity. https://lnkd.in/g6gNrw2b

So, #QuitTok is a thing now. Turns out people don’t just want to quit their jobs quietly anymore—they’re making viral videos about it. We'll be chatting about why this mass exodus is happening on Morning Brew today with industry leaders Adrienne Wright Cleveland, daniela (dani) herrera, and Nicolina Jennings. If you're curious about what’s driving people to drop their resignation letters like hot mixtapes, join us. We’ll get real about what’s going wrong and, more importantly, how to turn things around before everyone ghosts their jobs for good. Join us today: https://lnkd.in/ei5hWw4R

One of the most surprising results from the Working Not Working (un)Happiness Survey was that 56% of full-time creatives are looking to leave their job within a year (41% in the next six months 😬 ). And this isn’t unique to the creative industry. Even industries like big tech that report low attrition rates due to golden handcuffs with fat stacks of RSUs are still suffering from a lack of productivity as a result of trends like “quiet quitting” or “resting and vesting.” What's worse for your culture? Apathy or complete discontent? See the full (un)Happiness Survey results: https://lnkd.in/eSymDcgj #careers #creatives #recruiting #advertising #tech #quitting

What do you value in a job? Regardless of what companies say, creative employees we spoke to agree that it’s NOT JUST ABOUT A PAYCHECK. Sure, a fair salary gets them in the door, but they want the benefits of work-life balance, like flexibility, meaningful opportunities, and alignment with company values. According to a CNBC poll, they are even willing to take a pay cut to go fully remote. Has anyone actually done this? Where are my 4-day workweek people? #creatives #fulltime #talent #hiring #workingnotworking #unhappinesssurvey

Join us for an upcoming HR Brew virtual chat ft. daniela (dani) herrera and a conversation with Nicolina Jennings, Justin Gignac, and Adrienne Wright Cleveland as we discuss how companies can work smarter, not harder, to improve their culture and keep their employees from walking out the door.
Your employee culture might need a revamp. Namely, elevating professional development with solutions-oriented capabilities. Working Not Working joins HR Brew to discuss their innovative new platform, and how it could revolutionize all of the above—and then some. RSVP for this virtual chat. https://lnkd.in/esp5ibQQ
