Sight: Wine comes in a rainbow of colors: pale yellow, rich gold, subtle salmon, hot pink, brick red, and deep purple. I’ve had the pleasure of judging in over 300 wine competitions and tastings over a million wines. Still, I never tire of it because of the infinite diversity and exciting newness of the experience. It’s magic! To learn more about wine’s many virtues, visit The Magic of Wine on our website. https://lnkd.in/eWuTNBkq

There are 53,638 jobs created by wine in Transportation & Communication within the Supplier category. These statistics are from our 2022 National Economic Impact Study conducted by John Dunham & Associates, which will be doing an update in 2025 so we can educate the new Administration and Congress about the incredible value of wine to the U.S. economy. Meanwhile, you can learn more today by visiting The Magic of Wine section of our website, and even more detail (including by state) by going to Economics. https://lnkd.in/eWuTNBkq

For a relatively small state, New Hampshire has incredible diversity in terms of its geography, which translates into diversity of grape and wine production. Vineyards, orchards, and berry fields produce wines, ciders, and fruit wines, and the grape varieties match each region’s specific climate. Smell: Wine’s aromas are just as varied, reflecting different grape varieties, the “terroir” of the vineyards, the vintage, the winemaker’s decisions, the wine’s age, and much more. I’ve had the pleasure of judging in over 300 wine competitions and tastings over a million wines. Still, I never tire of it because of the infinite diversity and exciting newness of the experience. Congress won’t return to Washington until November 12, a week after the election (hopefully, the results will be official by then!), but things are still happening that affect our industry. Read more about our Policy Perspectives here: https://lnkd.in/eeBUSUn6

Wine journalist Dan Berger has compiled a list of wine industry icons who have lived well into their 90s, and some are 100 or over and still working! Andre Tchelistcheff passed away at 92, Robert Mondavi at 94, Ernest Gallo at 97, Mike Grgich at 100, and Louis Fopppiano at 101! Two mutual friends, Dr. Richard Peterson (93) and Jerry Draper (100) are still working, and Peter M. F. Sichel is 102. What’s the secret of their longevity? If it’s the Fountain of Youth, it’s filled with wine. So…is it the Resveratrol? Maybe, but I think it’s the tonic of Happiness. They were all passionate about wine, from the vineyard to the cellar and table, and were happy to be immersed in it. How many wine people do you know who say, “Gee, I wish I could work in computers or pharmaceuticals”? Wine people are happy people, bound together by the magic of wine. To wit: Look at the quotes above from sources around the world in different centuries. Wine makes people happy in healthy ways.
