  • We love our interns! Last week, the WFWIB hosted its annual Internship Summit for the Experience Works! PLUS Internship Program. Interns from Experience Works! PLUS, BotsIQ (BotsIQ), and Premier Automation (Premier Automation LLC) joined together for a day of professional development and networking. Thank you to all of the participating students, employers, and partners who made this day successful. #NationalInternDay2024

  • Internships can be a great pathway to full-time careers! Anna Bellan, the WFWIB’s Compliance Officer II, started with the office as a fiscal intern. At the conclusion of her internship in 2020, she was hired on full-time and has been a part of the staff ever since. We are very grateful to have her in this position. Thank you, Anna, for all that you do!

  • In addition to our EWP Summit, we would like to take a moment to celebrate one of the other attending groups of interns from Premier Automation. At Premier Automation, interns dive into a variety of activities that match their interests and departments. They tackle independent projects, get mentorship, attend training sessions, and even witness live demos by industry pros. Job shadowing with engineers or senior leaders adds another layer of insight. At the end, each intern wraps up with a detailed summary of what they've learned and accomplished—a true testament to their growth and experience.

  • In addition to our EWP Summit, we would like to take a moment to celebrate one of the other attending groups of interns from BotsIQ. BotsIQ's Summer Internship is all about diving into manufacturing in a hands-on way. Over 8+ weeks, interns get to tackle real projects alongside seasoned pros. It's not just about building technical skills; teamwork and leadership get a boost too. By the end, interns come away with a solid grasp of manufacturing and a great start for their careers.

  • Meet Isabella, an EWP Intern! Her internship at WMBS radio provided invaluable hands-on experience across multiple aspects of broadcasting. From operating cameras to being on-air and participating in community-focused remote broadcasts, she gained a comprehensive understanding of radio operations. The diverse experience not only enhanced her journalistic abilities but also deepened her appreciation for the radio’s role in connecting and benefiting our community.
