Honored to be Named on TIME’s Latino Leaders List 2024 I am deeply honored to be recognized as one of TIME magazine’s Latino Leaders for 2024. This acknowledgment reflects the significant strides Latinos are making across various sectors, showcasing our contributions to the U.S. economy and culture. Arriving in the U.S. a decade ago, I quickly realized that the perception of Latinos often fell short of reality. Despite our roles as entrepreneurs, homeowners, taxpayers, and military personnel, we face persistent barriers, including limited opportunities and lower wages. It became clear that our community needed unity and empowerment to change the narrative. That’s why I founded the We Are All Human Foundation and The Hispanic Star—to break down barriers, alter perceptions, and unlock opportunities for Latinos. While we’ve made significant progress, with the support of our incredible partners and donors, our journey continues. Our #diversity is our strength, and it fills me with pride to see #Latinos pursuing their dreams across various fields. I commend TIME for highlighting the positive impact of our community and invite everyone to join in celebrating and elevating our narrative. Thank you for this incredible honor! #TogetherwWeShine. https://lnkd.in/eeMNxC6Y

Representation takes all forms, and through the arts, we can narrate the story of our cultural contributions, both past and present. There is no question that Latinos are shaping culture here in America and around the world. It is as important to explore this as it is to cite our many economic cons. All contribute to our presence and prominence in the fabric of American life. At the Parrish Art Museum this past weekend, we brought together both threads with their first-ever celebration of #HispanicHeritageMonth. The event, a collaboration between the Museum and the We Are All Human Foundation, took place this past Saturday. It was a unique showcase of the work of Annette Nancarrow, who moved to Mexico in 1935 and became deeply connected to artists such as Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera and Orozco. The exhibit showcased work from the private collections of her grandchildren, NY Times-Breaking News Columnist @Bret Stephens and Arkay Packaging Chairman and CEO Mitchell Kaneff. As such, we were treated to charcoal sketches, paintings and sculptures that showed the intersection of American and Mexican artistic traditions. And a panel with the Executive Director of the museum, Dr. Monica Ramirez-Montagut, Bret Stephens, Mitchell Kanaff and myself brought to light her exceptional career, so inspired by Mexican culture, and a parallel message about the importance of seeing works of the Latino community on the walls of the finest art institutions of the country. Art creates change and I feel that the people who saw this exhibit were moved, enriched and inspired by it. Read the full article below!
