Transparency is Key for Nonprofits 🌟 In the spirit of fostering trust and promoting accountability, nonprofits can take several strategic steps to ensure transparency with their supporters and the public: Publish Financial Statements: Make annual financial reports and budgets publicly accessible to demonstrate how funds are allocated and spent. Impact Reporting: Regularly share updates on projects, detailing the progress and outcomes of initiatives to show the tangible impact of donations. Clear Communication: Utilize newsletters, social media, and websites to provide consistent and clear updates on operations, challenges, and achievements. Governance Transparency: Disclose information about the organization's leadership, including board members and their roles, to underline a commitment to ethical governance. Engage in Dialogue: Foster an open line of communication with stakeholders by encouraging questions and feedback, and responding in a timely and thoughtful manner. By embracing these practices, nonprofits can build deeper trust with their community, ensuring a solid foundation for their mission to thrive. Let's champion transparency together! #NonprofitTransparency #Accountability #ImpactDriven

Wilmington Aid Targeting Expenses and Repairs
About us
Vision: From the tap to the bill, we help households avoid interruptions in water service through holistic, need-based assistance. WATERway NC is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that gathers resources to help Wilmington-area families maintain critical water and sewer services. We work with community partners including Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) and New Hanover County (NHC) to offer emergency, one-time bill payments before water shut offs occur. The NHC Department of Health and Human Services administers this program. Assistance is based on need, and currently available to any customer of CFPUA. We are currently in the process of creating an appliance repair and replacement program to address some of the underlying needs of unaffordable bills. We eventually hope to expand our reach to nearby municipalities.

Now that the Spring rains have begun, did you know you can collect and store rainwater for future use? Rainwater harvesting captures water from structures like roofs and directs it into storage solutions, ranging from simple barrels to extensive cistern systems. This process involves gutters and downspouts to funnel the water efficiently. Not only can these systems fulfill household water needs, but they're also an eco-friendly way to conserve water.
