💧 Terminology Related to #WaterEfficiency 🌍 When discussing water efficiency, several important terms often come up. In this video, Jennifer H., our Senior Water Advisor Lead, breaks down some key concepts: 1️⃣ #WaterWithdrawal: Actual amount of water taken from a water source for your operations. 2️⃣ #WaterConsumption: This is the portion of water withdrawn that is not returned to the environment. You can calculate it by subtracting your discharges from your withdrawals. 3️⃣ #WaterIntensity: Often used as a true measure of efficiency, water intensity is the amount of water withdrawn normalized to a unit of production or revenue. This metric helps gauge efficiency in context. For instance, even if your withdrawals increase as production scales, your intensity may improve, showing greater efficiency. Want to dive deeper into water efficiency and setting efficiency targets? You can learn more in our recent webinar about this topic. 👉🏼 Watch the full webinar here: https://lnkd.in/eYN2uweM

🌍💧 Our CEO José Ignacio G. and CSO Nicolas Wertheimer had an impactful week at #ClimateWeek. They participated in key events including the Sustainable Development Impact Meetings hosted by the World Economic Forum, and sessions organized by Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), Alliance for Global Water Adaptation (AGWA), J.P. Morgan, and Google, and ERM. Throughout the week, they connected with sustainability leaders across industries, exploring the future of water stewardship and the transformative potential of technology. Some of these impactful conversations were with our valued partners, further reinforcing our shared mission. They also participated in an insightful roundtable discussion, Growing the Water Innovation Ecosystem, hosted by the World Economic Forum, where they exchanged ideas with fellow leaders driving change. It's exciting to witness water sustainability taking center stage in the global agenda—a critical step in accelerating the transition to a water-secure world. This journey holds particular significance for Jose and Nico, who first met through the Global Shapers Community several years ago, when water wasn’t receiving the attention it does today. 💧 A huge thank you to the World Economic Forum, Climate Group, and all the organizations for organizing this incredible week. Also, thanks to Matt Haddon, Anna Huber, Braulio Eduardo Morera, Ida Jeng Christensen and the Young Global Leaders community, Scott McCready, Adrian Sym, John Matthews, and UpLink - World Economic Forum. 💧🤝 Together, we’re shaping a future where water sustainability is at the forefront of global solutions.
