Excited to learn more about the Benton County Veterans Treatment Court and the Benton County Veterans Court Mentor Program at the Columbia Basin Veterans Center Meet Ryan Washburn and James Torres, with the Benton County District Veterans Therapeutic Court, and engage with their dedicated Veterans Treatment Court program. This program, which began in June 2019, offers voluntary participation for veterans charged with offenses in Benton or Franklin County. Eligible individuals must have served in the US Armed Forces and have a substance use disorder, mental illness, PTSD, or MST. Ryan and James also share about the mentorship program and how it’s making a major difference in reintegrating veterans into communities from incarceration. Meet Matt Sammons, Executive Director of the Columbia Basin Veterans Center, and engage with the dedicated Veterans Treatment Court staff and volunteers. Learn how the Columbia Basin Veterans Center is making an impact in the veteran community At the Columbia Basin Veterans Center (CBVC), they are dedicated to supporting Washington state veterans through a variety of programs and services. Whether it’s financial assistance through county programs or an in-house Veteran Relief Program, they’re here to help. But that’s not all!
