We are honored to partner with Potawatomi Ventures on our strategic investment of BAMF Health! Investing for legacies means working with companies who are committed to the long-term well-being and success of those they serve, which is exactly what the incredible team at BAMF is doing in leveraging intelligence-based precision medicine to detect and treat a variety of diseases, including cancer. "When we invested in BAMF Health in 2021, we were impressed by their vision and cutting-edge technology," said Deidra Mitchell, Waséyabek President and CEO. "Since then, BAMF has accelerated its growth while further enhancing its innovative technology. We remain impressed by the company’s leadership and performance, as it works to deliver better patient outcomes." Thank you to Tribal Business News for sharing this story.

Congratulations to Waséyabek portfolio company Green Transportation on their recognition as a SmartWay High Performer! The designation, which is given by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), includes top-performing carriers who demonstrate a commitment to emitting fewer pollutants and driving cleaner in their operations. According to the EPA, "just over two percent of all SmartWay truck carriers operate fleets so clean and efficient that they make the SmartWay High Performer list for all metrics."
Green Transportation has been officially recognized on the SmartWay High Performer Carrier list for all metrics. The list recognizes the top performing carriers who take a conscious effort to reduce their emissions. "Whether its carbon, particulate matter or nitrogen oxide, high-performing SmartWay carriers drive cleaner, emit fewer of these pollutants – and burn less fuel – for every mile they travel and for every ton of freight they move." - EPA It's a short list, and we sure are proud to be part of it! https://lnkd.in/gReHy5CB

In late June, we participated in the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi's Youth Learn Work program by inviting young Tribal Members to visit RSI Manufacturing, McKay Tower, and the Waséyabek corporate office in downtown Grand Rapids. While at our office, participants engaged in a handful of activities, listened to a short presentation, and departed with a small gift. We are looking forward to engaging with the Youth Learn Work program once again in 2025!

Several members of the Waséyabek team and leaders from our family of companies participated in the Chief Moguago Golf Against Domestic Violence event on May 31, hosted by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi. Waséyabek was the Golf Ball Sponsor for the event. More than 200 golfers turned out for the event at Binder Golf Course in Battle Creek, Michigan, which is organized to address the high levels of violence experienced by American Indian and Alaska Native people in their lifetimes. Funds raised from this year's Golf Outing will support the NHBP Emergency Needs Pantry, overseen by the NHBP Tribal Court Victims Service Program, the Michigan-based non-profit organization Uniting Three Fires Against Violence, which promotes the social change necessary to address the disproportionate rates of violence impacting our communities, and the “Stolen Sisters” documentary, which highlights the Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women/Persons epidemic.
