Last week, the Waséyabek Federal Group team participated in the Savannah River Mission Completion’s Liquid Waste Golf Tournament at Cedar Creek Golf Club in Aiken, South Carolina, in support of the United Way. 🏌️♂️⛳ This annual event, hosted by SRMC – the dedicated liquid waste contractor at Savannah River Site – brings together teams from across the region to support numerous organizations benefiting from United Way’s financial aid. Exciting developments are underway at Waséyabek family company, Baker Engineering! The company, which is known for its cutting-edge power, propulsion, and advanced technology solutions for the aerospace and defense sectors, has recently expanded its team and enhanced its manufacturing and research capabilities. This growth is thanks to a generous state grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Tom Durkee, Project Manager of the MEDC Tribal Business Development Program, expressed his enthusiasm: "We’re thrilled to see how these targeted grants are driving economic growth in West Michigan. Our mission is to support Michigan’s federally recognized Tribes, helping them achieve economic sustainability through business expansion and diversification. By fostering entrepreneurship in Indian Country, we strengthen both our Tribal partners and the broader state economy." Baker Engineering LLC.
