Walden Macht Haran & Williams LLP represents six senior FDNY Chiefs and a Deputy Director of EMS in an age discrimination suit filed against the City of New York, Deputy Mayor Banks, former FDNY Commissioner Kavanagh, and several of her deputies. Despite Laura Kavanagh’s resignation, the case remains ongoing. “Brooklyn Supreme Court Judge Patria Frias-Colón shot down the city’s attempt to dismiss the case, finding the allegations made by the chiefs against Kavanagh ‘are sufficient enough to state a cause of action.’ ‘Given that the Court wisely sustained the majority of our claims, including those against Deputy Mayor Banks and First Deputy Pfeifer, we look forward to deposing former Commissioner Kavanagh and the defendants, and finally taking this case to trial,’ Jim Walden said Friday.” Click below to read more.

Today, Walden Macht Haran & Williams LLP argued in state appeals court that WMHW client Robert F. Kennedy Jr. should be restored to New York’s presidential election ballot. WMHW has been retained by RFK Jr. to represent his campaign in its appeal of a New York state lower court ruling that prevented him from appearing as a candidate for U.S. President on New York’s election ballot this November. The lower court held that Mr. Kennedy used an invalid address for his residence, which could have confused or tricked voters. “’Robert F. Kennedy Jr. could have put his residence as the moon and no one would be confused with who Robert F. Kennedy is,’ his lawyer, Jim Walden told a mid-level appeals court[’s] judges during a brief hearing.” The WMHW team includes Jim Walden, Georgia Winston, Daniel Chirlin, Daniel Cohen, Amanda Senske, James Meehan, Ivy Xiaotian Yao, and Sarju Patel. Jim Walden was quoted in The Spark’s article “Gold-Standard Story Exposed Big Bribes Behind the Olympics” regarding Walden Macht Haran & Williams LLP’s representation of Dr. Grigory Rodchenkov, head of the Russian anti-doping apparatus and the whistleblower that exposed Russian doping in the Olympics: “The level of Russian corruption surrounding their doping program was shocking and long standing. Grigory was really a part of that until a German documentary exposed the Russian doping programme in 2014. A friend of his at the Kremlin called him and said ‘You need to leave, the FSB is going to murder you.’” Click below to read more:
