In the aftermath of natural disasters like #HurricaneHelene, which devastated #WesternNorthCarolina and left communities without essential resources, the vital role of reliable water access is undeniable. 💧 🌎 To raise awareness about the value of water, #WakeCounty joins the nationwide #ImagineADayWithoutWater on October 17. This event highlights the essential role water plays in our daily lives. Now in its 10th year, this event has grown into a national movement, raising awareness about the need for sustainable water management. We are launching a series of interviews, and a social media campaign focused on the importance of water to future generations and highlighting local projects that help improve water quality in our community. To hear more stories from professionals across the community, such as educators, farmers, students and business owners on the importance of water and how they contribute to water conservation efforts, visit wake.gov/onewater. 📲 Stay tuned over the next few days as we share stories about how we can all do our part to preserve our most precious resource.
