Virginia Tech continually provides students with experiential learning opportunities to solve real issues in our communities. This experience in particular, led by Brook Kennedy, a professor in the College of Architecture, Arts and Design, piloted an Urban Infrastructure Studio. The studio allowed 8 Virginia Tech students to apply their knowledge to increase mobility in the Georgetown neighborhood due to e-scooters piling up on sidewalks blocking vital ways for citizens to move around the city.
