The passport will utilize Bandwango technology, the same platform used for the successful Visit St. Pete-Clearwater Gulp Coast Craft Brewery Passport, which had more than 10,000 users in 2023.

Thank you to Tripadvisor for hosting a free seminar with our partners to help educate them on the importance of their online presence! Carol Johnson did an excellent job providing tips and tools to more than 70 St. Pete-Clearwater businesses. This was an important benefit to provide for our partners as 3 out 4 travelers say online reviews are extremely or very important when making travel decisions and 68% of travelers are more likely to book after reading a long form review.

We all know the summer fun doesn't end around these parts, so we want to make sure our neighboring locals keep soaking up the sun beachside in St. Pete-Clearwater! It's been awesome to work with WFTS-TV The Morning Blend and Allison Godlove to remind the Greater Tampa Bay community about all the amazing areas in Pinellas County and invite residents to rediscover the stunning beauty and endless experiences of America's Best Beaches, located right in their backyard. Don't miss these weekly featured spotlights on the incredible experiences waiting to be explored in the St. Pete-Clearwater area in this "just beyond local" campaign!

The VisitSPC team brought home some hardware from the Florida Governor's Conference in Tampa, winning a pair of coveted Flagler Awards. Named for Henry Flagler, the Flagler Awards were established in 2000 to recognize outstanding tourism marketing in Florida. Our social media crew picked up a bronze plaque for outstanding Social Media Marketing for our Live Like a Local Campaign, where we invite content creators from around the country to experience the paradise we get to live in every day. And the Marketing squad received a silver plaque in the Resource/Promotional Material-Consumer category for our beautiful Gulf to Bay destination Magazine. Congrats to all the winners from across the state!

Congratulations to the City of Dunedin Pipe Band for competing in the World Pipe Band Championships over the past weekend in Glasgow, Scotland - representing our community as the only U.S. entrant at the top level in the worldwide competition! Scottish heritage runs deep (and proud!) in this quaint town in Pinellas County. Beyond the colorful Edgewater Tartan, you can find one of Dr. Beach’s top spots (Caladesi Island) or grab a pint from Florida’s first microbrewery (Dunedin Brewery) or take part in the annual ceremony each August celebrating Dunedin as America’s first Purple Heart City in honor of our veterans!

The Greater Tampa Bay community continues to grow by leaps and bounds. For the rest of this summer and into the fall, we want to remind our neighbors that America's Best Beaches are right in their backyard! This creative "just beyond local" campaign highlights the amazing experiences along the Gulf coast of Tampa Bay. Paradise awaits, whether with friends, family, loved ones – or maybe an ideal remote workstation overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, it's impossible to experience all the destination has to offer in just one day. Whether they're new to the Greater Tampa Bay area or have lived here their whole life, our neighbors can immerse themselves in St. Pete-Clearwater and explore what so many have already discovered.
