About us
"WE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU" That statement of assurance, first spoken in 1942 by the Sisters of St. Joseph, represents both our history and our mission. It was our undertaking then, and it is still our promise today. Our name embodies what we provide. For those struggling with chemical dependency, mental or behavioral health concerns, or recovering from trauma, our dedicated staff of professionals provide hope. For youth, families, and adults, we provide integrated behavioral health treatment, both residential and outpatient; community-based services, case management, and mental health programs; community and residential school; group homes, residential treatment, including our community apartment program; and Work Based Learning. The Villa serves Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, and Wayne counties. No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay; and there is a discounted/sliding fee schedule available based on family size and income.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Day, Villa of Hope announces expanded hours for our Gregory E. Polisseni Living Hope Treatment Center, now conducting intakes 24/7, welcoming walk-ins, and continuing to provide round-the-clock medically supervised withdrawal and stabilization detoxification services to our community. The Living Hope Treatment Center opened in 2022 on the Villa of Hope campus, and has an 18-bed capacity, serving individuals from 16 through adulthood. Our 24-hour facility offers short term medical treatment, with the average length of stay 5 -7 days. The Center provides structured support guided by nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians assistants, psychiatrists and substance use disorder therapists.

Today at the Villa, we welcomed this wonderful group of volunteers from MVP Health Care! They worked all morning, preparing 3 of our cottages for renovations as part of a new venture to serve individuals in our community needing behavioral health services. They were also joined within the last few weeks by First American Equipment Finance who also donated a morning of their time to the cause. Big plans are in the works for the Villa campus! Stay tuned for more information very soon! Our 2030 vision: Villa of Hope will advance equity by transforming the social foundations of our neighbors, elevating lifelong health outcomes for our community.

Daniela, a resident at the Villa's LIFE House for youth struggling with substance use, is heading toward recovery -- with great determination. She is doing this for her infant son. Without the Villa, things would have been very different for them both. More on her story in the weeks to come! #villaproud

Career Inspiration at Villa of Hope! On Friday, September 20, our Work-Based Learning (WBL) Program hosted an insightful career presentation for students and staff. Zach Zeh, a psych nurse at St. Mary's Hospital and a former colleague and friend of our WBL Transition Specialist MaryLee Almekinder, shared his experiences in the nursing profession. Zach discussed what it takes to become a registered nurse (RN), the many specialties in nursing, and the job security and opportunities in this growing field. He also provided an overview of the diverse environments where nurses can work and much more. The presentation wrapped up with a lively Q&A session, where students asked thoughtful and engaging questions! We're grateful to Zach for sharing his expertise and inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals! 👏 #VillaOfHope #VillaProud #CareerExploration #Nursing #Healthcare #Inspiration #WorkBasedLearning #FutureNurses #StudentSuccess
