VFP's Executive Director Kevin Chu presented yesterday at the Energy Action Network’s Summit at Bolton Valley Resort, where the state's response to the climate crisis took center stage. Vermont has set ambitious long-term targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, but to achieve these goals, we also need to solve critical workforce and housing challenges. The Vermont Futures Project has proposed data-informed targets to grow our working-age population and increase housing – smart growth that can directly contribute to reducing emissions. People are the solution. We appreciate Energy Action Network's collaboration in using data to drive towards real solutions for Vermont’s future!

Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for Local Maverick's 'Making Mavericks'! A speaker series showcasing stories from Vermont businesses, creatives, and people making a positive impact on Vermont This edition featured Kevin Chu, executive director of the Vermont Futures Project.
